Maria's Story

Cookies were ruined for me in 1995. One day, all the kids on our street got the most delicious, soft, delicate, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chip cookie.  After 13 years of searching for a cookie of the same caliber without any luck, I had to leave the country.            I ended up in Texas where I learned everything really is better- or at least the brisket is!  What do you know? Texas delivered.  My coworker Janis left homemade chocolate chip cookies in my teacher mailbox and cha-ching delicious flashbacks.  It was Janis who would lead me to the art of making decorated sugar cookies.
Today, "Mommy made cookies” and “Cook-cooks" are common sayings in our household.      I am a mom to 3 sugar lovers, working a career in Molecular Genetics (yes, I can analyze your DNA and your dough) while creating custom cookie and cupcake designs during my home bakery shift open from 9-2 a.m.
